See what this does

Light roast is unforgiving. Gold Line is built for the brewer who prefers it that way — clean, sweet extraction that rewards exact temperature, grind, and ratio. Get the variables right. There's nothing else like it.

Rewards precision brewing — ratio, temperature, grind

Provides the clearest caffeine activation in the system

The Role in the System

Gold Line is the precision instrument. Light roast preserves the origin character of the bean — the brightness, the complexity, the acidity that disappears the longer you roast. If you want to taste what the coffee actually is before the roast takes over, this is the entry point. It rewards the person who controls their variables.

Frequently Asked Questions
Dark roast is forgiving — the roasting process has already driven out most of the compounds that create off-flavors from poor extraction. Light roast retains more of the original bean character, which means both its best and worst qualities are present in the cup. Under-extract and it tastes sour and thin. Over-extract and it turns bitter and flat. Gold Line rewards precision because it has more range than a dark roast — the ceiling is higher, but so is the floor.
Pour over is the optimal method — V60, Chemex, or Kalita Wave. These methods give you control over water temperature, flow rate, and extraction time that immersion methods don't. Use 200–205°F water, medium-fine grind, and the Zero Ratio: 2g per ounce. Bloom the grounds for 30 seconds before the full pour. AeroPress also works well for a more concentrated cup.
Clean and sweet with bright acidity. Light roasts from quality single-origin beans typically express fruit notes — citrus, stone fruit, or berry depending on the origin — alongside floral and tea-like qualities. Gold Line is designed to be clean first: no muddiness, no bitterness, no roast char. The sweetness is natural, not added.
It can be used for espresso but it's not optimized for it. Espresso extraction amplifies both the brightness and the acidity of a light roast, which some people find too sharp. If you want to use Gold Line for espresso, grind fine, reduce dose slightly, and use a longer pre-infusion. It produces a distinctive, fruit-forward shot — not a traditional espresso profile.
Craft + Function. Not one without the other.
